Samantha Roberts is the Founder, Managing Director and Safeguarding Lead of Edge Group Scotland. A Registered Mental Health Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Sam brings over three decades of cross-sector expertise spanning healthcare, forensic services and specialist social care.

She holds a Bachelor of Health Science in General Nursing, a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychiatric Nursing (with Distinction), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Forensic Medicine & Science β€” qualifications that reflect her clinical precision, academic excellence, and lifelong commitment to learning.

Sam’s professional journey began in frontline mental health nursing at charge nurse level before moving into specialist roles in safeguarding, training, and the design of pioneering support models for young adults who are autistic and/or have additional support needs.

Her forensic approach to governance, risk management and quality assurance ensures Edge operates at the highest standards of care, compliance and accountability. A passionate advocate for the therapeutic power of movement in nature and water, Sam has embedded these principles into Edge Group’s support model to promote emotional regulation, interpersonal connection and personal growth.

Under her leadership, Edge Group Scotland has grown into a future-focused organisation defined by safety, structure and purpose. She continues to influence national dialogue on best practice in transitional social care β€” leading with integrity, innovation, and a clear moral compass.
